In anticipation of the trial of the century (ok, maybe the trial of the year) and to keep you updated on all things Rod Blagojevich, we have launched RodBlagojevich.com.
If you haven’t been aware of what Blago has been up to over the past 18 months, then you must live off the grid because he’s been virtually omnipresent – on the Today Show and David Letterman; on The View; on Jimmy Kimmel Live; on Celebrity Apprentice; on The Daily Show; on Larry King Live; impersonating Elvis (by the way, Time magazine voted him #2 Elvis impersonator of all time, just behind Johnny Cash and in front of Andy Kaufman); subpoenaing Barack Obama, Harry Reid, Jesse Jackson Jr. and Dick Durbin; petitioning the Supreme Court… the list is dizzying. He inspired a musical and a shampoo (how many people can claim that combo?!), wrote a book, was the subject of another book and convinced his wife to go to Costa Rica to be on a reality show. Hence the need for a site focused exclusively on the event-generation machine that is Rod Blagojevich.
In fact, RodBlagojevich.com has over 200 events related to the ex-governor of Illinois, most of which chronicle his life since his arrest on December 9, 2008. (And for good measure we have included other key life and career events – like his birthday and when he graduated from Northwestern).
Blago’s trial begins on June 3 (or maybe not if the Supreme Court decides to honor his request to delay it). No worries though – the site will be updated “early and often.”
